In 1991 the CDCSS established the "Partners in Education" award program to recognize school and community cooperative efforts that promote success in the classroom and in life. This award honors a non-school individual and/or an organization that provide programs, activities and actions that enable others to learn and become more active citizens and members of the community.
Robert Neiderberger Award
The CDCSS recognizes members who have achieved in social studies education in an exceptional way. The award named for Bob Neiderberger, an exceptional
educator.
Partners in Education Student Award
This award honors a graduating high school senior intending to or interested in pursuing a career in teaching social studies at the elementary, middle or high school level. Award: $500 cash award,
paid directly to the winning student.
